Wado beta
Privacy at Wado
Last updated: 22 October 2026. Wado beta is operated by ZeroToOne LLC. This page explains the current information handling in the beta.
Information you provide
Wado processes account details such as your email, optional learner-profile details, learning requests and responses, lesson plans and progress, flashcards, and study material you choose to submit. Only share material you are allowed to use. Avoid sensitive personal information and other people’s private records.
Why Wado uses it
This information supports signing in, teaching, continuing saved lessons, reviewing cards, enforcing usage allowances and investigating reported problems. The Wado team can access information needed to operate the service and handle support requests.
Services involved
- Vercel hosts Wado and handles website requests and operational logs.
- Supabase provides authentication and storage for learner records, saved learning, support reports and usage records.
- OpenAI processes the teaching or card-generation context Wado sends to produce responses. That context can include your request, relevant learning history and submitted study material. Do not assume provider processing has zero retention.
- Where test checkout is offered, Stripe handles the checkout. Wado stores order and checkout-status identifiers; the checkout may receive your account email and learner/order identifiers. Live payments are not currently enabled.
Provider information: Vercel privacy notice, Supabase privacy notice, OpenAI API data controls and Stripe privacy policy. Those providers have their own processing and retention practices.
If you type a learning request before signing up, Wado also stores that pending request with your account so it can follow you to another device after verification. It is used for automatic return for up to 24 hours. Completing it prevents automatic replay; the account metadata is not automatically erased at that time.
Browser storage and diagnostics
Wado uses authentication cookies and browser storage to maintain account access and learning state. Clearing them can sign you out or remove an unsaved request. Hosting and request diagnostics may include operational details. The usage ledger records model-call, token and cost metadata rather than lesson text.
Reports you choose to send
The report preview shows the text submitted to the Wado team, including page, browser, time and version details. Lesson references and excerpts are optional. Conversation history and uploaded files are not automatically attached to that report. A receipt is associated with the learner who sent it.
Keeping and requesting changes to information
Saved learning is retained so you can return to it. This beta does not currently provide a fixed automatic deletion schedule or a self-service account-deletion tool. For ordinary saved lessons, removing a lesson from Continue Learning is not a request to erase its stored records. Browser sign-out does not delete server records.
Private parent circles and activities
Wado Recess stores circle membership, parent display names, a broad area, event details and family RSVPs. Approved members of a circle can see its activities and parent display names; organizers can also see pending requests and manage membership. The original invitation code is shown only when created or replaced; a hash is stored. Invitations and parent declarations do not verify identity. Do not post children’s names, home addresses or sensitive records. Leaving removes your membership and RSVPs and cancels activities you hosted. Organizers can remove and block accounts, remove events, or delete the entire circle from active storage. Reports sent to Wado remain in the support inbox separately. There is no fixed automatic deletion schedule for circles or reports; backups and user-made copies may remain. Recess uses no teaching AI calls and does not send its event details to OpenAI.
Temporary homeschool lesson material
In the parent-run homeschool workspace, original uploads are processed without saving the original file. Readable extracted material is kept privately with that lesson while it is active and is never added to the shared verified library. Delete material now, completing the lesson, marking its plan done or skipped, removing its plan, or removing its thread deletes the temporary extracted material and that lesson’s saved teaching conversation and generated curriculum from active storage. Progress counts, the parent’s plan details until plan removal, and content-free usage metadata can remain. These temporary lessons do not create permanent flashcard or transcript copies. This does not promise immediate erasure of infrastructure backups, provider monitoring records, offline pages or copies a user has made.
For a question or an access, correction or deletion request, email ZeroToOneLLCCEO@gmail.com. Tell us which account you mean without sending a password or private sign-in link. We must verify account ownership before disclosing or changing account information. Requests require review; deleting local browser data does not submit a request.
If you are a parent, guardian or school with a question about a student’s information, contact the team before submitting student records. Read Help with Wado for reporting and account-access steps.
